Our Philosophy
Our bikes are individually crafted from road-going machines with the objective of giving you a quality, reliable track or race bike that will excite, tempt and thrill you.
The donor bikes are carefully selected from low mileage, recent models. Our bikes are built-to-order or available off-the-shelf. We also carry out track bike conversions from your road going machine.
• Built-to-order: We will discuss with you the make and size of bike you want and the options available to craft your individual track machine. These options vary from bike controls (rearsets, quick shifters, clip-ons, levers, quick action throttles, etc.) to brakes, suspension, engine performance, crash protection and paintwork. Once we have agreed the budget and specification, TRB will acquire the bike and parts and build your track bike for you.
• Off-the-shelf: When we see a suitable bike we buy it, remove the road-going parts, service it and fit a limited range of track parts. As a minimum, this includes race bodywork, paddock stand bobbins and rearsets. If you are interested in one of our bikes and you would like to know the options for tailoring the bike for you we are more than happy to talk it through. Having decided what you want we can carry out the work for you. However, you may wish to take the bike ‘as is’ and complete the tailoring yourself.
• Track bike conversions: We will undertake the work required to transform your road bike into a track tool. We first discuss with you what you want and the options available. Once we have agreed the budget and specification TRB acquire the parts and build your track bike for you.
• Custom paintwork: In conjunction with locally-based Raptor Superpaint, we offer custom paintwork. This can be a unique design for you or a race team replica such as the MotoGP Repsol colours.
• Provenance: We all like to know the provenance of our bikes. At TRB we recognise that and endeavour to provide the fullest information possible about the history of our bikes – warts and all! Each bike comes with its own bound documentation containing all we know about the bike.
• Delivery: We will deliver to you or you can collect your bike from us. We like to take a photograph of you and your new bike for our website.
• Track days: We post details on our website of track days that we are going to and hope that we see you on track. In any event we encourage you to send us your action photos so that we can include them in the ‘Customer’ section of our website.
